1. Calculate the sq. ft. of your pool. (LxW)
2. Multiply the sq. ft. x .5 (sq. ft. required)
3. Divide the sq. ft. x 40 (40 sq. ft. coverage in each box)
This number represents the number of boxes required to heat a swimming pool at 50% coverage.

If you have an above ground pool and are seeking economic options for solar heat we have a number of options.
Fafco Sunsaver Panels. Just look for the bear. The panel is 4'x20' and will heat most above ground pools up to a 16'x32' oval. For larger pools two panels may be required. The panels can be installed on a roof, a lean-to structure or even on the ground. It is important to bear in mind that the Fafco panels need to be brought indoors for the winter months to avoid freezing and cracking. These panels work so well that many of our customers will by pass the panel on really sunny days because the pool will get so warm. The key of course is making sure the panel is in direct sunlight and has southern exposure.
Sun Pirate Solar Panels. These panels include 2, 2'x20' panels that perform well and really make a noticeable difference to the temperature of your pool. Most above ground pools will require form 1-3 boxes.
